Welcome

Welcome to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School in Roseburg, Oregon!

We are thankful that you have taken the time to learn more about our congregation and school. Whether you are searching for a church home, visiting the Roseburg area, looking for a Christian education for your children, or simply wondering what it means to know Jesus Christ, you are welcome here.

At St. Paul, we gather together around the gifts God has given to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. We believe that the heart of the Christian faith is not what we do for God, but what God has done for us through Jesus. By His death on the cross, Christ has paid the price for our sin, and through His resurrection, He has opened for us the promise of everlasting life.

As a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, we hold firmly to the Word of God and to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that God's Word is living and active, that Holy Baptism is God's gracious gift, and that in the Lord's Supper Christ truly gives us His very Body and Blood for the forgiveness of sins. We gather each week to hear God's Word, receive His gifts, sing His praises, pray together, and encourage one another in the faith.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you come through our doors. We are a congregation made up of people who, like everyone else, live in a world marked by sin, brokenness, uncertainty, and hardship. Yet we gather because we have a Savior who meets us in the midst of all these things with His grace, mercy, and forgiveness.

A Place to Grow in Faith

St. Paul is more than a place to attend worship. We desire to be a community where people of all ages can hear the Gospel, grow in God's Word, serve their neighbors, and encourage one another as we live out our lives as God's baptized people.

Our school shares in this mission by providing children with a Christ centered education where learning takes place within the truth and promises of God's Word. We desire to nurture children academically, spiritually, and personally while pointing them continually to Jesus Christ.

Whether you are young or old, have been a Christian your entire life or are just beginning to ask questions about faith, we pray that St. Paul can be a place where you encounter the gracious love of God and hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Come and See

We invite you to come worship with us, meet our church family, and experience the beauty and richness of Lutheran worship. You will find a congregation that seeks to remain faithful to God's Word while joyfully proclaiming the Gospel to our community and the world.

We are blessed to call Roseburg and the beautiful Umpqua Valley home, and we would be delighted to welcome you into our midst.

Come as you are. Come hear God's Word. Come receive His gifts. Come and see what God is doing at St. Paul.

We look forward to meeting you!

“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
